Ana-Marija Markovina
Ana-Marija Markovina is a Croatian pianist widely known for her performances of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bachʼs keyboard works. She is the first modern pianist to record the complete keyboard works of C.P.E. Bach, and her interpretations and fidelity to the scores have been highly acclaimed.
After studying at the Zagreb Academy of Music, Markovina moved to Germany, where she pursued further studies at the Cologne University of Music and the Berlin University of the Arts. Although she performs a broad range of classical music, she has a particular passion for music from the late 18th century.
Her complete recordings of C.P.E. Bachʼs works are praised for their rich emotional expression and technical precision, effectively conveying the charm of Bachʼs music to listeners.
